Inexcess Television presents : Road to Recovery

Recovery is here

The first Road to Recovery event is happening in Liverpool on Thursday, 28 January and we have a small number of spaces available to key workers. Please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or click here to find out more.

Produced by Inexcess Television specifically for Tier 2 and 3 workers focusing on recovery, the day provides an interactive experience mixing live presentations with specially produced documentaries and interviews, plus the opportunity to participate in a Question Time debate and experience an open NA meeting.

The day is designed to explore recovery and how it can help people to turn their lives around and live again after addiction by presenting different perspectives, from the stories of those who have achieved recovery to those who have helped them.

Speakers include Byron Katie, best-selling author and Oprah regular who has helped millions of people, see http://www.thework.com; Mark Gilman of the NTA, Simon Jenkins of Narcotics Anonymous, drug counsellors Nick Mercer and Tony Mellor, plus special guests.

The emphasis of the day is – recovery, why it works, how to make it relevant to serious drug users, what choices are available to service users and how they can be accessed.

The entire event will be televised and broadcast on http://www.inexcess.tv as part of the ‘2010’ Year of Recovery campaign.

The Road to Recovery starts at 9am and finishes at 4.30pm. The venue is The Novas, Contemporary Urban Centre, Greenland Street, Baltic Triangle, Liverpool L1 0BS

Is this event for practitioners only? I was told recently about this event by the manager of SHARP here in Liverpool and would love to attend if it’s possible. Is it?

Phil – if I were you I would e-mail Christine direct – just in case she doesn’t pick up on this from the site. If I can help in any way let me know.
